Plans for Differentiating Instruction
In this unit, there are several scaffolds that will help every student learn. A variety of hands-on activities are included to help kinesthetic learners interact with the material. There are simulations and videos that will help visual learners master the content, and the reading activities will be beneficial for all students by helping them become scientifically literate, but especially helpful for those students who learn best through reading. Also, this unit requires a lot of collaborative group work. This will allow the teacher to walk around to each group and interact with students one-on-one. This way, the teacher can differentiate instruction for each group or even each student in the group individually.
During the lessons that require the students to complete tasks on their own or in groups, included in the lesson plans are supplemental enrichment activities intended for the students who finish early to complete.
